PDF Page Organizer
Reorder, rotate, and remove pages from your PDF
Step-by-Step Guide
How to Organize PDF Pages
Organizing PDF pages allows you to reorder, rotate, and remove pages from your documents. This powerful tool helps you fix scanned documents, remove unwanted pages, and create perfectly organized PDFs.
Step 1: Upload Your PDF File
Click on the "Drop PDF file here or click to browse" area to select the PDF file you want to organize.
After uploading:
- The tool will analyze your PDF and generate thumbnail previews for each page
- All pages will be displayed in a grid layout
- You can see the total number of pages in your document
- Each page thumbnail shows a preview of its content
Note: The initial loading may take a few moments depending on the number of pages in your PDF.
Step 2: Reorder Pages
To change the order of pages in your PDF, use the arrow buttons on each page card.
How to reorder:
- Click the Up Arrow button to move a page higher in the document
- Click the Down Arrow button to move a page lower in the document
- Pages will swap positions immediately
- The new order is reflected in the grid layout
Best for:
- Fixing pages that were scanned in the wrong order
- Rearranging sections of a document
- Moving cover pages or appendices
- Organizing multi-document scans
Tip: The first page cannot move up, and the last page cannot move down.
Step 3: Rotate Pages
If pages in your PDF are oriented incorrectly, you can rotate them using the rotation button.
How to rotate:
- Click the Rotate button (circular arrow icon) on any page
- Each click rotates the page 90 degrees clockwise
- Click multiple times to rotate 180° or 270°
- The preview updates immediately to show the rotation
Common scenarios:
- Landscape pages scanned as portrait
- Upside-down pages
- Mixed orientation documents
- Incorrectly scanned pages
Tip: You can rotate a page multiple times until it's in the correct orientation.
Step 4: Delete Unwanted Pages
Remove blank pages, duplicates, or any unwanted content from your PDF.
How to delete pages:
- Click the Trash button (trash can icon) on the page you want to remove
- The page will become semi-transparent and show a trash icon overlay
- This indicates the page is marked for deletion
- Click the trash button again to undo and restore the page
What you can delete:
- Blank pages from scanned documents
- Duplicate pages
- Cover pages or disclaimers you don't need
- Advertising or promotional pages
- Incorrect or damaged scans
Important: You must keep at least one page in your PDF. The tool won't allow you to delete all pages.
Step 5: Apply Changes and Download
Once you've made all your changes, apply them to create your organized PDF.
How to apply changes:
- Review all the changes you've made (rotations, deletions, reordering)
- Check the status bar showing active pages vs. deleted pages
- Click the "Apply Changes" button
- Wait for the processing to complete
- A success message will appear with a download button
- Click "Download" to save your organized PDF
The file will be saved as organized.pdf on your computer.
Tip: Double-check your changes before applying them. Once downloaded, you can always upload the file again if you need to make more adjustments.

Tips and Best Practices
-
Preview Before Processing: Review all changes in the grid view before clicking "Apply Changes"
-
Use Rotation Efficiently: Remember that each click rotates 90°. For upside-down pages, click twice (180° rotation)
-
Mark Deletions Carefully: Deleted pages show a trash overlay. Make sure you've selected the right pages before applying
-
Keep Important Pages: Always maintain at least one page. The tool prevents accidental deletion of all content
-
Organize in Steps: For large PDFs, consider organizing in stages:
- First pass: Delete unwanted pages
- Second pass: Rotate misoriented pages
- Third pass: Reorder for proper sequence
-
Save Originals: Keep a copy of your original PDF before organizing, in case you need to start over
-
Work on Copies: If the document is important, work on a copy rather than the original
-
Check Page Numbers: After reordering, verify that page numbers and content flow logically
Troubleshooting
Pages Won't Load
If thumbnails don't appear after uploading:
- Ensure the file is a valid PDF
- Check that the PDF isn't password-protected
- Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Edge recommended)
- For very large PDFs, be patient - thumbnail generation takes time
Rotation Doesn't Show
If rotation isn't visible in the preview:
- The preview updates immediately - try refreshing if needed
- The rotation will be applied in the final PDF even if preview looks odd
- Some browsers may show rotation differently
Can't Delete All Pages
If you see an error when trying to apply changes:
- You must keep at least one page in the PDF
- Restore at least one deleted page before applying changes
- This prevents creating empty or invalid PDF files
Browser Freezes or Slows Down
For very large PDFs (100+ pages):
- Close other browser tabs to free up memory
- Processing may take longer - be patient
- Consider splitting the PDF into smaller sections first
- Use a desktop computer rather than mobile for large files
Applied Changes Don't Appear
If your downloaded PDF doesn't show changes:
- Make sure you clicked "Apply Changes" before downloading
- Verify you downloaded the new file, not the original
- Check your browser's download folder
- Clear browser cache and try again
Moving Pages Doesn't Work
If reorder buttons are disabled:
- Up arrow is disabled for the first page
- Down arrow is disabled for the last page
- Deleted pages cannot be moved
- This is normal behavior
Advanced Tips
Batch Processing
For multiple similar PDFs:
- Organize one PDF completely
- Note the operations you performed
- Apply the same sequence to other files
- Keep a checklist of steps for consistency
Quality Check
Before finalizing:
- Review the first page (usually most important)
- Check the last page (often contains key information)
- Scan through middle pages for any errors
- Verify page count matches expectations
File Naming
When downloading:
- The file is named
organized.pdfby default - Rename it immediately after download to avoid confusion
- Use descriptive names like
Report_Organized_2024.pdf - Include dates or version numbers for tracking
